A Hopeful beginning is a reworked unfinished demo of mine
Endless disorientation was an ambient track i recorded to a four track cassette recorder that i slowed down and manipulated to create a hissing lofi drone track
an eternity ahead, an eternity behind is just some old guitar i had recorded on my phone that i kinda fixed up
painfully kicking at your footprints samples a field record of a canada day protest that i heard from my small hostel room in vancouver
passing by is a field recording i got of me playing piano in the antique mall, i heavily manipulated it in post
A final march along the sunrise before your time comes is exactly what it sounds like. A sort of imaginary score of elderly man slowly walking to his end. idk.
The sound of the end is the literal sound of the end. It was the last track recorded. Burke brought his ride cymbal to my place and i put a contact mic on it and fell in love with the sounds it made. He performed it and i mixed/produced it i guess.

this is an album thats for looking out your window and wondering. about questioning things. about existing inside of a void. its an album for all the ideas and thoughts that come and go; that become a part of the void. nothingness is hard to comprehend. here i guess i attempt to convey the act of thinking about nothingness. except with painfully kicking at your footprints; thats just a breakup song. OKAY SORRY I RAMBLED ABOUT SO MUCH STUPID BULLSHIT
